The One Infallible Way to Never Run Out of Brilliant Ideas

May 12, 2009

Have you ever dug a hole in the sand close to the seaside? The hole fills with water, and no matter how much water you scoop from the hole. It’s always full. It refills instantly from the well of moisture beneath the sand.

Your mind works the same way. There is no end to the brilliant ideas available to you. As long as you express them.

Have you ever held back on telling someone an idea? Afraid to release it to the world until you find the right market? I used to do this all the time. What resulted for me was stagnation and a blockage in the flow of ideas. Express yourself, and see what happens. Chances are, the next ideas will flow more freely in purer form.

What has your experience been when deciding whether to “reveal” an idea to the world or not? Do you have a story that might contradict my own experience?
