Because my sleeping bag was so small, they didn't notice it. I felt like a fugitive while staying there though. I am wearing the Vibram slippers right now. I have flat feet and a very sensitive bad knee, so I don't know that I would last more than a few days if I was walking around city streets with them. If I didn't have my injuries, I suppose they could work as "all the time" shoes. They really lack the ruggedness and support I look for in a "full time" shoe. That means that with the very existence of a sleeping bag in your backpack would make them not sell you a room?? Also how are you finding the vibram slippers?
