@Andrew - Thanks for the awesome encouragement! It means so much to me...truly. I am glad you like the posts, and its all just beginning!

Regarding Walnut Creek. I have family there and it is just acting as my base. I plan to spend my days in downtown San Fran actually. Maybe I should change the itinerary to "San Francisco"...what do you think?

@Tim - Regarding bringing dressy clothes: Its amazing how far the convertable pants can take you.

My fiance recently had a graduation event for her school (where everyone dressed up and wore nice shirts and dresses and stuff). Being stubborn as I am, I refused to buy any "nice" clothes and wore my Icebreaker/Cloudveil outfit, same as any other day.

It worked out fine. I just made sure not to lose face, and remain as confident as possible, and no one even noticed. By high-school-fashion standards I was definitely the "worst dressed", but make sure to keep your conversation interesting, and no one will even look.

Very cool man, you're in my favorites so keep up the good work. I wouldn't call Walnut Creek exactly exotic, but still very cool what you're doing.

I got one of the longest plane rides I have ever taken coming up this Tuesday and then in a couple weeks a 14 hours bus ride so I'm sure this technique will come in handy, thanks for sharing!

Man I don't know how you and Tynan get so much in your packs (especially your sleeping bag)

I don't think I am taking nearly as much as you guys and my pack is stuffed to the brim, I'm going to have to leave the semi-dressy clothes I wanted to bring for clubs at home due to space limitations!
