Okay…we’ve made it here to home base (Julie’s fathers house that is) and what a journey it has been!
I actually traveled in and out of nausia throughout the day, first in the plane (due to some severe turbulence) and then the car ride here (windy roads and a packed car).
When we finally got here, though, I was EXTREMELY pleased at the overall temperature in Julien right now (leveling at about 25 degrees this evening). The air is SO much crisper here and feels clearer and less heavy (obviously from the lack of humidity as Maui is my standard right now).
Overall a fairly painless trip (disregarding my nausia and similar discomforts). I await the days ahead!
I am on the household wifi connection, which is working quite nicely. It turns out Julie’s brother has just recently gotten into Ubuntu and I set him up with Supertux, the open source mario sidescroller clone game made for linux.
He is officially addicted…as I am very near to.
This is the first REAL vacation I’ve had (completely work correspondence and actual work free) . It feels great.
